To receive tax exemption for your eligible Barnes & Noble Press orders:
- To create a Barnes & Noble Press account, sign in to the Barnes & Noble Press site by entering your email address on the Sign In screen and the six-digit code that is sent to you. This will create an account with that email address.
- Once your account has been created, email Taxes@bn.com with:
- A valid tax exemption certificate(s) for each state in which you qualify.
- The email address used to sign in to the BN Press site.
After your documentation has been reviewed and approved, we will notify you when your account is enabled for tax-exempt ordering. You may then place qualifying orders shipping to states where you are tax exempt using the designated email address.
You can place orders before your tax exemption is approved. Once the approval is processed, send the order numbers to taxes@bn.com and you will receive an email with your tax refund details.
