Print Books for Sale vs. Print for Personal Use

 

Print Books for Sale is for Print Books you list to be sold on bn.com. You can order proof copies ahead of publication to check for print quality, for prospective readers and reviewers, book signings, and other events.  

 

To print books for sale, you must complete the Vendor Registration process before you can list your titles. 

 

 

 

Print for Personal Use is for Print Books you purchase for yourself or for friends & family. 

 

Personal Use Copies and B&N Press Author Copies can be purchased at a discounted price only slightly higher than the printing costs needed to produce the book, lower than the retail price if you were to put the book on sale. This pricing is only available on purchases made through your B&N Press Publisher Account. Author discounts for B&N Press titles are not available anywhere else. 

 

Personal Use books do not require vendor registration before ordering. 

 

 

 

When placing orders for Print Books for Sale or Print for Personal Use books, the cart has a quantity minimum of 1 and a maximum of 999. If you need to order more than 999 copies of a single book, you can do so by placing multiple orders.
 

 

Depending on the type of book you order, it may have an ISBN or SKU, and a price may or may not be listed. Review the below chart for specific details. If you are creating Print for Personal Use Print Books, you do not need to use an ISBN. However, personal copies of books intended for sale will print with the ISBN barcode on the back cover.
