What is a contributor?
A contributor is someone who can assist you with managing tasks in your B&N Press account. For example: uploading and putting books on sale, reviewing sales reports, creating coupons, and more. Whatever you can do, an approved contributor can also do to make the work go twice as quickly!
How do I add a contributor?
Go to the “My Account” dropdown menu. Find “Manage Contributors” and click the “Add Contributor” button. Fill in the required fields (name, email) and select the feature(s) you want your contributor to have access to. You'll see a login URL that is unique to you, to share with your contributor.
Do I need a separate login URL for each contributor?
No, you’ll only have one unique login URL that you can share with all your contributors. Each contributor will use that login URL—and their own login credentials—to access your account.
Does a contributor need to have his own B&N Press account to share my access?
Contributors must have a B&N Press account with the same email address you used to submit their information on the "My Contributors" page. They can create a new account or they can use an existing account with the email address.
How do I remove a contributor?
Go to your "Manage Contributors" page, click “Edit” next to the contributor you want to remove. Scroll to the bottom of the pop-up window and click “Delete Contributor.”
Can I edit the email address of a contributor?
Yes! You can edit a contributor's email address if their email is different from the one you submitted. Once changed, they can sign in using the updated email right away.
How do I request access as a Contributor? I'm receiving an error message that says I don't have access.
If you see an access denial message, please contact your author and ask them to give you permission.
I’m having trouble signing in to an author's B&N Press account as their contributor.
In order to sign in to an author's account:
• You must use the unique login URL that your author shares with you.
• Your author must add your email address to their "My Contributors" page.
• Your email address must be associated with an account on BNpress.com.
